What makes cogKnit companions different from regular toys?

We don't make toys that tell a child what to do. Each cogKnit companion is designed to be open-ended: one object can become many things across many years. A Play Trail can be a bridge, a ladder, a den frame or a balance path. The child brings the imagination; we provide a safe, beautiful, tactile starting point.

What age range are cogKnit companions suitable for?

Our launch collection is designed for children roughly 0–8 years, with each companion showing the best-fit age on its page. Discovery Blocks grow from sensory objects for babies to construction pieces for older children. Play Trail and Play Stick + Ball suit active explorers from about 2 years up to 8.

Are the materials child-safe and non-toxic?

Yes. We use responsibly sourced textiles and dense fibre fillings. There are no small detachable parts, no sharp edges, no batteries and no plastic where a child will touch. Every companion is stitched, not glued, wherever possible.

How should I clean and care for my cogKnit companion?

Accepted Answer

Most fabric companions can be hand washed at 30°C and air dried. Wooden parts can be wiped with a damp cloth and re-oiled once a year. Check fabric connectors and lashings monthly. Each product page lists specific care instructions for that companion.

Can cogKnit companions be used in schools or play spaces?

Absolutely. Our companions are built for real, repeated use at home, in classrooms, and in therapy or activity centres. If you are an educator or run a play space, write to us through the Contact page — we can discuss bulk orders and educator guidance.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship across India. We are working to make international shipping available soon. If you are outside India and interested, please join our mailing list or contact us and we will let you know when we launch overseas delivery.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Most orders are made by hand and dispatched within 3–5 working days. Delivery within metro cities typically takes 2–4 working days after dispatch. Tier-2 and tier-3 locations may take 4–7 working days. You will receive a tracking link as soon as your order is shipped.

What are the shipping charges?

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your pin code and the size of your order. We keep charges as close to actual courier cost as possible and we offer free shipping on orders above a certain threshold, which is shown on the cart and checkout pages.

Will my order be gift-wrapped?

Every cogKnit companion is packed in plastic-free, recycled packaging that is neat enough to gift. If you would like a handwritten note included, mention it in the order notes at checkout and we will do our best to add it.

What is your return policy?

Accepted Answer

If you receive a damaged, defective or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order number. We will arrange a replacement or refund, including return shipping. For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on items that have been used or washed, unless they are faulty.

Can I exchange a companion for a different one?

We accept exchanges for unused, unwashed items in their original packaging within 7 days of delivery, provided the replacement is available. Return shipping for exchanges is borne by the customer unless the exchange is due to our error.

How long do refunds take?

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, refunds are processed within 5–7 working days. The time it takes to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.

How can I track my order?

Go to the Track your order page, enter your order number and the email you used at checkout, and you will see the current status of your shipment along with the courier tracking link.

Do I need an account to track my order?

Accepted Answer

No. You can track any order with just the order number and email. If you created an account while checking out, you can also sign in and see all your orders in one place.

My tracking link isn't updating. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Courier systems sometimes take 12–24 hours to show the first scan. If your tracking link has not updated for more than 48 hours after you received the shipping confirmation, please contact us with your order number and we will follow up directly with the courier.

Can I change my delivery address after placing an order?

Accepted Answer

We can try to update the address if the order has not yet been dispatched. Email us as soon as possible with your order number and the new address. Once an order is shipped, the address cannot be changed.
